Introducing the new Hinterland Brand

Hello everyone,

Today we launch a new Hinterland brand. This new identity reflects the evolution of Hinterland as a game developer, publisher, IP creator, and entertainment company over the past 12 years. It represents our mission of Constant Exploration towards making better games, better ways of working together, better ways of engaging with our fans, and doing our part to push the industry into a better place in the future.

As we put forward our vision for Hinterland and the cross-platform experiences we’re creating for millions of fans around the world, I’d like to draw your attention to our statement of Hinterland’s mission, and my vision for where we’re headed. I talk about broken values and misplaced priorities in the games business, and what we’re trying to do about it in our own work. I talk about what we see around us, and how we’re trying to do something different. I explain a bit about our values, and how we strive to work. Mostly, I acknowledge that we don’t always get it right -- but we are constantly striving towards self-improvement in our games, and in our approach.

This new brand, anchored by a new visual direction and site at hinterland.com, opens the door to the next phase of Hinterland’s growth, and sets the table for my ambitious plans for our team, our studio, our projects, and our future within the broader entertainment industry. We have twelve years of experience as a studio behind us. The next twelve years is where the real work begins. And I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
